Rehearsals: NDG Community Centre
Schedule: Mondays from 5:00 – 5:45 pm
Annual Fees: $510 (September 2025 to June 2026)
Often the first introduction to choral singing, the Beginner Choir performs in two annual CEM concerts, accompanied by professional musicians.
While fostering a love of music and singing, the choristers also develop their:
- capacity to concentrate, maintain good posture and respect group discipline
- ability to produce precise sounds
- understanding of notes and rhythm through exercises on the blackboard
- team spirit
- ability to sing by memory in a concert situation.
Each week, choristers will receive an online assignment to do or a list of lyrics to memorize. Choristers should spend between 5 and 30 minutes on this homework each week.
Criteria :
- Fill out the Google form on July 1 (Please email us to receive the form)
- register (form and payment) before the deadline given
- attend the first rehearsal on Monday, September 8 2025 from 5:00 – 5:45 pm
- attend the initiation session on Sunday, September 14 from 1:00 – 1:45 pm
- be in Senior Kindergarten or Grade 1 (or the equivalent)
