Come and join us at our INITIATION SESSION on Sunday, January 10, 2021, from 2:45 to 3:45 pm!

Rehearsals : on Zoom (for the time being) or at the NDG Community Centre (if the health situation permits)

Schedule : Wednesdays from 4:15 – 5:15 pm

Annual fees : $470 per year (September to June) or 295 (January to June)

The Junior Choir performs in two annual CEM concerts accompanied by professional musicians. The Juniors also perform in other concerts and festivals. By exploring ambitious repertoire in a friendly atmosphere, choristers develop their:

  • vocal technique
  • ability to read a musical score
  • interest in music theory and rhythms
  • capacity to sing in harmony (two or three parts)
  • team spirit
  • stage presence
  • ability to sing by heart in different languages.

Each week, choristers will receive an online assignment to do or a list of lyrics to memorize. Choristers should spend between 5 and 30 minutes on this homework each week.

Criteria *:

  • attend the initiation session on Sunday, January 10, 2021, from 2:45 – 3:45 pm
  • attend the first rehearsal on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 4:15 – 5:15 pm
  • register on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021  (form and payment)

* unless otherwise agreed to with CEM Concert Attire :

  • Either a concert dress to purchase from CEM
  • Or black pants and black shirt, to be purchased
